The festival season has well and truly kicked off, as thousands of music lovers headed to Hull for Radio 1’s Big Weekend. We’ve rounded up some of our favourite live acts from the free festival.<\/p>\n

Stormzy<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Kicking things off with \u201cBig for your Boots\u201d, the 23-year-old British Grime artist knows how to get a crowd going.\u00a0Coming at us with other tunes from his debut album, Gang Signs and Prayers, ‘Big Mike’ set the crowd alight with his non-stop energy.\u00a0He had thousands of fans\u00a0screaming his lyrics, creating mosh pit after mosh pit.<\/p>\n

Imagine Dragons<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The band from Last Vegas know how to put on a show. With so much energy and crowd engagement, especially from front man Dan Reynolds, the lads put on an incredible performance.<\/p>\n

Plan B<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

As promised, Plan B appeared with a more intimate setting. With a new look and that soulful voice, Plan B performed at night which set a rather emotional, yet calming tone for his performance. The crowd seamed quiet (in a good way) respecting and listening closely to his new found lyrics; it wasn\u2019t the one to scream and shout at, it was the one to listen and appreciate. A roaring round of applause came after the performance; a warm welcome back to the scene for the London musician.<\/p>\n

Rag ‘n’ Bone Man<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The big man with the beard had an amazing band behind him, adding a great rock n roll vibe with the amazing electric guitars.\u00a0With his crazy strong vocals Rag \u2018n\u2019 Bone man took us through a crazy journey with his humble and emotional performance. He blasted out tracks from his album ‘Human’, even rapping on a few, which we was a great surprise.<\/p>\n

Krrum<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We love discovering new music for you guys and this weekend we found a good one. Krrum has been described as electronic pop with an R&B twist. The British producer has released a number of tracks, but continues to give credit to his team, that collectively create them. So is Krumm a band? We’d certainly say so after their performance at the festival. Evil Twin is one of their most popular songs, released last year but only really getting recognition recently, and it was incredible to watch. We\u2019ve had a listen to some of their other tracks and we’re really into their vibe.<\/p>\n

Kasabian<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The band\u00a0Leicester headlined the festival and never fail to put on a good performance. With an incredible stage presence and globally known songs, their one of the best remaining rock bands around. They had the crowd singing along to some of their classics before rocking out to some of their new songs\u00a0from the new album, ‘For Crying Out Loud’. Our highlight of their set has to be when they played ‘Fire’. Not a single body was stood still in the crowd; the guys just know how to get the place moving.<\/p>\n

If any of these guys are playing at a festival you’re heading to this summer, then we highly recommend you go and watch them. You won’t be disappointing.<\/p>\n
