We caught up with DJ Syn Cole<\/a> to chat about his new music, career highlights, fashion and much more.<\/p>\n

When did you first realise you could make a career in music?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think this was long ago when I got my first synth and production gear. I started to make my first tracks & send out demos to labels and quite soon got a positive response<\/p>\n

Name three artists you had on your playlist growing up?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Daft Punk, Hans Zimmer & Scooter<\/p>\n

Where and when was your first ever live performance?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was a local club gig here in Estonia about 10 years ago<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the best part of being a DJ?<\/strong><\/p>\n

To be able to travel the world a lot, and to have the work as a hobby & vice versa<\/p>\n

If you could collaborate with one other artist, past or present, who would it be?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A collab with Coldplay would be amazing!<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve just collaborated with Kirstin to release Got The Feeling. How did the collaboration come about?<\/strong><\/p>\n

After Sony\/RCA signed my “Feel Good” for vocal version release, we had this vocal demo finished – but it didn’t have a feature singer yet. I really liked Kirstin’s releases and since she’s also on Sony, the collaboration sounded like a perfect idea \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

How long did the song take to create and finalise?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It took a few months<\/p>\n

Have you played it live yet? How was the reaction?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’ve played it indeed! The reaction was great as many people know the earlier instrumental version “Feel Good” on NCS, which has grown quite well on YouTube.<\/p>\n

How happy are you with the end result of? <\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m really happy about it! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

What song have you got on repeat at the moment?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I listen to various stuff all the time, but I’ve been a big fan of Clean Bandit, Charlie Puth & Calvin Harris.<\/p>\n

What was your 2017 highlight?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Getting the vocal version signed to Sony\/RCA was definitely a highlight for me. Also my Spotify streaming did really well in 2017, exceeded 200 million total streams on my own songs and their remixes. The year-end Spotify stats climbed to 7 million hours of streams & 16 million fans – I was really happy to see this<\/p>\n

What has been your career highlight?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Can’t really name one, but playing at the biggest festivals Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, Creamfields & Ultra Miami are definitely highlights. Also doing remixes for pop artists & and my own songs getting remixed by huge names – such as Kygo & Avicii remixing my “Miami 82”<\/p>\n

Where and when was your most memorable performance and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

EDC Las Vegas. Such an amazing high-energy crowd on one of the mainstages throughout my set<\/p>\n

How do you spend your down time?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Usually relaxing in my hometown<\/p>\n

Where can we see you playing next?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some gigs are currently to be confirmed, but next month I’m playing in Tallinn (Estonia) with Madison Mars & many others<\/p>\n

If I wasn\u2019t a DJ I\u2019d be\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Definitely a graphic designer. Actually I used to do it before I went full-time on music. I still like to do it for fun sometimes – the 3d artworks on my “SYNERGY” Spotify playlist series are all mine.<\/p>\n

Favourite film & TV series?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Interstellar” & “Breaking Bad”<\/p>\n

Drink of choice on a night out?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s mostly beer nowadays for me<\/p>\n

If you could have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this case it would be pizza I think!<\/p>\n

Describe your style\/fashion?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I like various casual, but I’m fan of black t-shirts and hoodies haha<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your New Year\u2019s resolution?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

To release much more music for sure!<\/p>\n
