We caught up with American DJ Flosstradamus<\/a> to talk about music, career highlights, fashion and his new track Tern It Up<\/em>.<\/p>\n

When did you first realise you could make a career in music?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I never wanted to make a career out of this. I have a degree in design. The first time I was able to travel with music I knew this is what I wanted to do.<\/p>\n

Name three artists you had on your playlist growing up?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Beastie Boys, Fatboy Slim & Aphrodite.<\/p>\n

Where and when was your first ever live performance?<\/strong><\/p>\n

At a small town hall in my home town of Kalamazoo, MI.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the best part of being a DJ?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Being able to travel the world and play my music is by far the best part.<\/p>\n

If you could collaborate with one other artist, past or present, who would it be?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Andre 3000.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve just collaborated with Dillon Francis to release \u2018Tern It Up\u2019. How did the collaboration come about?<\/strong><\/p>\n

That’s my road dog. We have been touring for years together and we we finally wrapped up one of our 100+ ideas to create the new track.<\/p>\n

How long did the song take to create and finalise?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hahaha too long! We have so many other unfinished songs.<\/p>\n

Have you played it live yet? How was the reaction?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yeah I have been playing it for over a year now. The song goes off live!<\/p>\n

How happy are you with the end result of \u2018Tern It Up\u2019?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Super stoked! Happy we’ve finally got the song out.<\/p>\n

What song have you got on repeat at the moment?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

What was your 2017 highlight?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Getting Married.<\/p>\n

What has been your career highlight?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Headlining Lollapalooza in Chicago my home town.<\/p>\n

How do you spend your down time?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I keep it pretty chill. I’ve been into growing mushrooms lately.<\/p>\n

Where can we see you playing next?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I just finished up an Asia run. About to do a few shows here in the states and hit Mexico in a few weeks.<\/p>\n

A Graphic Designer.<\/p>\n

It always changes but I’m a big fan of Black Mirror right now.<\/p>\n
