I was about 11 or 12.<\/p>\n<p>Max: My first gig was the Spice Girls at Wembley Stadium, two definitely became one!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who\u2019s your favourite Spice Girl?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Max: Baby Spice all the way.<\/p>\n<p>Josh: Scary Spice, I watched Spiceworld over Christmas and Scary does it for me now.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Would you ever make a You Me At Six movie?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh: Yeah, if the Spice Girls were in it!<\/p>\n<p>Max: We would need Meatloaf as the bus driver of our tour bus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s your favourite song at the moment? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh: The new Drake record just came out so I\u2019m going to go with a song on there called Sandra\u2019s Rose which is my favourite.<\/p>\n<p>Max: Favourite song at the moment for me is Bonjour by Nas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you could collaborate with another band\/artist past or present, who would it be? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh: Drake.<\/p>\n<p>Max: Childish Gambino, also I like Frank Ocean and Pharrell; people like that who are writers and also musicians.<\/p>\n<p>Josh: I would also like to do something with David Grohl too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You\u2019re releasing your sixth studio album, VI, in October. Can you tell us more about it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s our sixth record and it\u2019s definitely a fun Friday night record. It\u2019s a You Me At Six record where you don\u2019t know where it\u2019s going to take you, and has a flavour of everything. We\u2019ve got very open tastes; we listen to everything and we try and incorporate everything that we like into our music &#8211; you have some Friday night pop bangers, upbeat rock, dance and urban sounds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are you playing any tracks from the new album today at the festival?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh: Yep, we\u2019re playing 3am and Fast Forward.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Which is your favourite song on the new album?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh: Mine is a song called IOU.<\/p>\n<p>Max: It\u2019s got a \u2018booty drop\u2019 chorus!<\/p>\n<p><strong>So the release of an album means a tour right? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Max: Yep, we\u2019re hitting the road this November and December. The record will have been out for around a month, so we can\u2019t wait to play new and old music for our fans across the UK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you could headline one festival in the world which would it be? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Max: Glastonbury.<\/p>\n<p>Josh: Reading, just because of the history we have with it. I have a high school crush with Reading. It\u2019s my first love, so I would love to headline it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s your festival fashion? Describe what you\u2019d wear to a festival\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh: Loud, Miami Vice.<\/p>\n<p>Max: Casual, smart in the daytime. We\u2019re wearing Paul Smith at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>Josh: Dr Martins and Levis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s the funniest thing you\u2019ve ever seen at a festival?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Max: I love it when it\u2019s really raining and people don\u2019t care, and they do the slide on their chest in the mud. That\u2019s what they do in Germany!<\/p>\n<p>Josh: And they score penalties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s been your career highlight so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh: It\u2019s a tight race between this interview and headlining the O2 arena off my face before I broke my ankle and I was on all kinds of pain killers. I felt like I was floating throughout the gig!<\/p>\n<p>Max: Probably getting a number one album on our fourth record, that\u2019s something we\u2019ll always have for life now.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If I wasn\u2019t in You Me At Six I\u2019d be\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh: I\u2019d be the creative midfielder at Arsenal football club.<\/p>\n<p>Max: I\u2019d be working for BoohooMAN and I\u2019d be Josh\u2019s agent. Two jobs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Favourite TV series and film?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh: Django and Entourage.<\/p>\n<p>Max: O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Game of Thrones. I only got into it recently.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>VI is out in October. Tickets for the UK tour are on sale now.
