The Christmas markets are overcrowded, you’re no doubt stressing over what you’re wearing to you works xmas do, and there’s nothing more you want to do than avoid it all and just stay indoors with the heating on and to whack on Netflix with a cuppa. Well fear not! Cause we’ve compiled the best Christmas films to watch on Netflix this year.

A Very Murray Christmas (2015)

The musical comedy film features Bill Murray, who is worried that no one is going to turn up to his TV show due to a terrible snowstorm. The star studded cast includes none other than Michael Cera, Rashida Jones, George Clooney, Miley Cyrus and Maya Rudolph!

Deck The Halls (2006)

This Christmas classic of a film shows two neighbours (Danny Devito and Matthew Broderick) go head to head as they try to compete over who has the brightest and most complex Christmas decorations, with one house so bright that it can be viewed from space.

The Holiday Calendar (2018)

The first Netflix original Christmas film released this year, follows a struggling photographer who begins to experience sheer amounts of luck when her granddad gifts her a magical advent calendar which has been passed down through generations of family members.

Dreamwork’s Holiday Classics Collection (2007)

Featuring favourites such as Kung Fu Panda, Shrek and Madagascar, this collection of short Christmas films is perfect to get the family in a festive spirit.

El Camino Christmas (2017)

Starring Jessica Alba and Tim Allen, this alternative Christmas film follows a young man searching for the father he has never met who gets barricaded in a liquor store with five other people on Christmas Eve.

BoJack Horseman: Horsin’ Around Christmas Special (2014)

BoJack Horseman is arguably one of the greatest shows on Netflix. However, did you know there’s a full length Christmas episode of Horsin’ Around? A must watch for fans of the show!

The Christmas Chronicles (2018)

Another new Netflix release this November, the Christmas Chronicles follows two siblings who attempt to ‘catch’ Santa Claus on tape. However, their plans go awry when they have to team up with a some what jolly Santa in order to deliver all the presents on time and save Christmas.

Love Actually (2003)

Last but not least is the ultimate classic Christmas film; Love Actually. Set in London, the film follows the lives of 8 different couples in variously loosely interrelated tales through the frantic month leading up to Christmas.
