We’ve listened to the new album and think it’s packed with sick tracks that will last a lifetime.

The British, virtual band was first created in 1998 by Jamie Hewlett (the illustrator) and Damon Albarn (the musician). Gorillaz practically invented their own genre of music, and always have tricks up their sleeves to shock us and show us the unexpected; only they could get away with a fully animated MTV Cribs show about their fictional mansion which they all live in, or doing a full set on stage without Albarn on stage singing and playing guitar.

With their individual personalities, we’ve come to love Murdoc, Noodle, 2-d and Russell, almost like they’re characters on our favourite TV show.

‘Humanz’ is their latest album since they released ‘The Fall’ back in 2010. The creativity on this album is amazing and they didn’t hold back with the collaborations; up and coming artists like Rag and Bone Man and D.R.A.M (who is touring with Kendrick Lamar this year), and then we see “Charger” one of our favourite tracks on the album with living legend, Grace Jones. The whole album is a collection crazy beats that’s perfect for the summer sun.

They’re performing on Graham Norton tonight and there’s also a rumour that they’ll perform at this Sunday’s MTV Awards, but we’ve seen no confirmation yet, but it’s out there.
