Harry Kane proved why he has the right to retain the Premier League Golden Boot for the second consecutive season with an impressive hat-trick in yesterday’s final game against Hull, adding to a total of 29 goals in 30 games.

Despite being absent due to a number of injuries, the England striker fought back to retain his top goal-scorer status and did so in an impressive fashion. The 23 year old bagged himself 4 hat-tricks over the course of the season and scored seven goals in his last two games. This season marks the third of which Kane has scored over 20 goals, beating previous efforts of 21 and 25, and will be hoping to keep his impeccable form in an injury-free season next year. Can he get over 30?

His clinical finishing and ability to read the game puts Kane in the top flight of strikers across Europe, and pundits are full of praise; Ian Wright Phillips compared him to the likes of Benzema and Gary Lineker even said “I think he’s better”.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the striker.
