We caught up with German DJ & producer Thomas Gold to talk about career highlights, music, fashion and much more!
When did you first realise you could make a career in music?
When I was 18, I got the chance to do a remix for a smaller commercial club project. That was the first money I earned from my productions. At the same time, I had my very first job as a DJ in a ‘real’ club (and not at a friend’s party).
How long have you been a DJ?
Should be around almost 20 years now
Name three artists you had on your playlist growing up?
Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Swedish House Mafia
Where and when was your first ever live performance?
In a mid-size club in my hometown Ingolstadt (Bavaria, Germany). The club was called ‘Rainbow’

Yes, a lot actually! I have a proper club tune coming out on march 5, then my next dance/pop single is coming in april; plus I’m currently working on a bunch of new productions, so there will be a lot of music coming from me in 2018

Where and when was your most memorable performance and why?
When I hosted my own show at the infamous Roseland Ballroom in Manhattan NYC. We had a sold out night, I brought a real drum line with me on stage and it was just a fantastic night. I was one of the last DJs performing there before they shut down this historic venue.
Where, when & who gave your most memorable performance and why?
For met this was Erick Morillo back in the days, when he hosted his night at Pacha Ibiza, playing 8+ hour sets.
Funniest thing that’s happened to you whilst playing?
A guy who came on stage to give me a hi-five; but when he jumped back into the crowd, the people moved away, so he fell on the floor. I was shocked for a second but afterwards I found out that nothing had happened to him, so I invited him fora drink backstage J
