Bryson Tiller is back with his new album ‘True to Self’; a 19 track masterpiece with no contributing artists, just his chilled out, soulful voice throughout. Recently speaking with The Rolling Stone Mag, the singer said “I feel like R&B is getting back to where it should be”, and his new album certainly supports his feelings. It’s great to hear a voice smashing it with an old school, 90’s R&B vibe.
Here’s a list of our favourite tracks from the album.
Something Tells Me
No longer Friends
We Both Know
You Got It
In Check
Run Me Dry

24 year old, Bryson Tiller, started his career in 2011 with his first mix tape titled Killer Instinct Vol. 1, but first made his mark on the industry in 2015 with his single “Don’t”. His sound was a breath of fresh air, mixing R&B, trap and soul music; it made perfect sense for him to call his first album “TRAPSOUL”.
Since the release of his album, Bryson has made a name for himself and has done some great collabs with the likes of The Weekend like On Me and Rambo-Remix, and it seems like ‘Starboy’ has taken Bryson under his wing as he was the supporting act for his UK Tour this year.
Oh, and did we mention his music videos have blown up too. Everyone’s taking about his video for newly released track “Something Tells Me”.
The video; directed by Elijah Steen, has beautiful visuals of a beach setting and has Bryson photographing stunning models. The track is about the ending of a relationship but somehow emits such a summer vibe. We don’t know how but it truly does.
