There was plenty of drama in the second-leg of the Champions League quarter finals last night.

The main man from Portugal scored in the 76th minute, a goal that would have seen Real Madrid sail through to the semis in 90 minutes, if it wasn’t for an own goal from Sergio Ramos two minutes after. Bayern Munich ended normal time with 10 men as Arturo Vidal was incorrectly sent off. With Ronaldo looking threatening and heading into extra time a man down, there was a lot to ask from the Bundesliga leaders.
The added man advantage worked in Real Madrid’s favour as Bayern conceded three goals in less than ten minutes; two from star striker Ronaldo, both of which seemed to be offside, and a stylish solo run and low right-footed goal from Asensio Marcos finished the games 6-3 on aggregate.
The win means that Real Madrid are unbeaten in 12 Champions League games at the Santiago Bernabéu and have now reached the semi-final draw for a seventh consecutive year.
On English soil, Leicester were unable continue with their monumental efforts to reach the semi-finals. Jamie Vardy’s goal managed to tie the second leg up as a 1-1 drawer, but entering the game with a 1-0 deficit, the Fox’s Champions League run came to an end.
