The popular picture and video sharing app has released a new way to stay ahead of the social game with their latest feature, but we’re not sure how we feel about it.
The latest function allows your friends to know your exact location by using a map to locate your personalised Bitmoji, so it’s going to be harder to make those “I’m just out at the moment” excuses.
To nobody’s surprise, Snap Map has received mixed reviews. Plenty of fans of the app believe it to be a unique way to stay updated with their friends. However, some people are pretty freaked out by the update and have stated it can be seen as an invasion pf privacy, or they’re just worried about being seen where they shouldn’t be.
Fortunately, there is a ‘Ghost Mode’ to which you can keep your location private and avoid being caught out when you’re thinking of those all-important excuses to bail on plans.
