I hope you’ve got your shittin’ pants on because the trailer for The Walking Dead season 8 has just landed and it looks epic.
The end of season 7 saw King Ezekiel, alongside his people and his tiger, come to the aid of Rick who’d fallen victim to a cunning betrayal plan between Jadis & Negan. After failing to kill Rick and the remaining residents of Alexandra, the saviors were forced to retreat, leaving Rick in a weapons deficit but full of motivation to start the all-out war against Negan.
The trailer contains very little dialog in the first half of the 5 minute clip, just short glimpses of some of our favourite characters; Michonne, Daryl, Maggie, Carol, Jesus & Tara to name a few, seemingly scavenging for anything they can find to use in preparation for their upcoming battle.
The silence of the trailer is then broken with the more than familiar inspiring words of Rick, preaching to his loyal followers; “everything with beaten, everything we’ve endured, everything we’ve risen above, everything we’ve become, no matter what comes next, we’ve won. We’ve already won!”
Cue the gun fire, explosions, zombies, fight scenes and King Ezekiel’s tiger. Pretty much everything you can hope for to get you pumped for the next instalment of the comic book series.
Our zombie killing favourites will be returning to our screens on the 22nd of October.
