We sat with some of the DJs announced to play this year’s Lost & Found festival to get the low down on their favourite tracks from 2017.

Jamie Duggan

Riddim Commission – Battle (Cause & Affect Remix VIP) (ft. Newham Generals & Mr. Hudson) No matter when you play this the dance floor always goes crazy, its been massive in my sets for a while.

Mr Virgo

My favourite track of 2017 has to be Skrillex & Habstrakt ‘Chicken Soup’ With its super smooth groove intro with lyrics into an intensive build then finishes into a vicious drop! This tracks been my choice of weapon in all of my live DJ sets. Chicken Soup is essential for my bass mixes.

TS7

This was tough, but my favourite tune of 2017 has to be Conducta & Deadbeat – Hurt Me (Notion Remix) – I love everything about this record. The atmospheric build up, with reverb filled vocals creates such a vibe. The width of the bass makes it impactful and emotional at the same time which is very difficult to achieve. Amazing remix.

Melé

There’s been a lot of great dance records this year but I decided to go for an Action Bronson one because I just keep coming back to it. The album/mixtape this is from is called Blue Chips 7000 and is probably my favourite release of the year too. This is produced by one of my favourite producers of all time, The Alchemist, and features Action’s amazing mate Big Body Bes who I really want to spend a few days with tbh.

DJ Spoomy

A tune that sounds amazing on a big set. The roof came off the the arena at Reading Festival this year when we played it. The bassline is a throwback and the drum programming means you cannot keep still. A sure fire winner.

Thanks for chatting to us guys. Have a great NYE!

Annie Mac’s Lost & Found Festival will take place from 3-6 May 2018 in Malta, with headliners Jamie XX, Four Tet, Diplo and Annie Mac.
