The Nou Camp saw a 0-0 draw as Juventus pulled of some fantastic defending, managing to restrict Barcelona to just one shot on target. Entering the game with a 3-0 deficit, all eyes were on the magic trio, Messi, Suarez and Neymar, to produce another spectacular come back. But, the Italian Serie A leaders were well structured, focusing most of their game on closing down quickly and keeping their back four in a strict formation. And it worked. Juventus are through to the semi-finals of the Champions League as they now have their eyes on the double; becoming both Champions League and Serie A winners.

With football fans paying more attention to the Bareclona vs Juventus game, and why wouldn’t they? It was goals galore in the Monaco vs Dortmund game. Fans saw the first goal hit the back of the net in just under 3 minutes. The French striker Mbappé, found himself in the right place at the right time, as a 25 yard shot parried by the keeper lands right at the 18 year olds feet, and is placed cleverly into the bottom left corner. Falcao scored the game’s second goal, taking Monaco into half time 2-0 up.

Dortmund fought back early on in the second half. Dembele tore up the right hand side of the pitch with an unstoppable run, then puts the ball into the firing line of Reus, who smashes the ball into the top right hand corner.

It looked like Dortmund might be able to crawl themselves back into the game. However, super-sub Germain, who’d been on the pitch a mere 21 seconds, put the ball under the Dortmund keeper to deter any hopes of Dortmund reaching the semi-finals.

So, it looks like Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Monaco will be entering tomorrow’s semi-final draw. The draw will be live on BT Sport at 11am. The semi-finals take place May 2 and May 3, with the second-leg replays a week later on May 9 and May 10. The Champions League is really spicing up and with football giants Barcelona and Dortmund being knocked out, predicting a winner is a hard call. We’re in favour of Real Madrid. It’s hard to see Ronaldo’s form stopping any time soon, scoring 5 goals in the quarter-finals.
