For many of us, Paramore were around for our scene kid/emo phase in college or school. If you haven’t listened to them since you removed the stretcher form your ear, then get ready for a flashback.

Paramore have hit the world with some big news. They’ve just released a new single, a new album and a UK tour. The trio have been teasing fans on social media over the past week with quirky artwork, recording studio pictures and hinting statuses, in the run up to their big announcement.

Today, they’ve shared a new single, ‘Hard Times’. The release is the band’s first new music since 2013, and has a big electro-pop influence. A huge step in a new direction from the rock band’s history of tracks, some dark enough to feature on films like the Twilight Saga. Their new sound won’t come as a shock to some fans, as they have experimented with this style of music in 2013 with their single, ‘Still Into You’.

To add to fans excitement, ‘Hard Time’ has been accompanied with a full music video. The video is brightly coloured, randomly edited and full of fun. It has a similar vibe to the video created for ‘Still Into You’, suggesting that Paramore’s experiment back in 2013 worked for them, and has had a large impact on their new sound and image.

The track has been take from their new album titled, After Laughter, which has been unveiled with some funky artwork.

‘After Laughter’ is due to be released on 12th May and will feature 12 new tracks. Check out the track list below:
