From ladies’ man to lady killer, Zac Efron is set to star in a new film about one of the most dishonourable American serial killers of all time, Ted Bundy.
Directed by Oscar-nominated film maker, Joe Berlinger, the film will follow the story of the notorious murderer from the perspective of his girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer.
Believed to have murdered more than 30 women in the 1970s (the actual total remains a mystery), Ted Bundy was turned into the police by his partner, after discovering the horrible truth about her boyfriend. The film will be titled Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, and if you fancy doing a bit of research on Ted Bundy, who’ll see why it’s a fitting name for the film.
Frequently cast as the heartthrob in films such as 17 Again, The Lucky One & Charlie St. Cloud, producer Nicolas Chatier believes Efron will be “perfect” for the role as he has the charm and attractive looks, similar to Bundy that allowed him to manipulate his victims in such a horrifying way.
We’re looking forward to seeing Zac take what will no doubt be the biggest challenge of his career. Plus, who doesn’t love a mass murderer film?
