Activision have teased Call of Duty fans around the world with a promotional image of what will be the latest installment of the franchise.
The firm admitted the game is “going back to its roots”, being based on a first-person shooter in the middle of WW2. Referring to the game’s “roots”, goes all the way back to 2003 when Call of Duty, a game also set in the middle of WW2, was first released on PS3 and Xbox 360; since 2012, ‘COD’ has been set in the future.
Fans will be getting a trailer and more in depth information about the game next week April 26. For now, they only have a series of screen shots to stimulate their imagination of what will take the game from its current ultra-sci-fi influence, back to the one of the most brutal human battles in history.
