Cue 90’s nostalgia as the Power Rangers is the latest film to get the reboot for a modern day audience. Lionsgate have brought our childhood heroes into the modern day thanks to a bunch of misfit kids who accidentally stumble across the power that will change their lives forever.
The trailer begins as our five unlikely heroes stumble across a handful of ‘coins’ in a crashed alien ship which in turn makes them insanely strong and predictably athletic. With their newfound powers, the group assemble against a purely evil enemy to protect the world. Whilst that sounds just like any other Power Rangers movie, the increased budget and improved CGI capabilities of today’s technicians promises to make the movie a spectacle, but whether it stands up against the nostalgic feels of the 90’s versions is yet to be seen.
