Swae Lee Tracksuit Edit
boohooMAN and Rae Sremmurd member Swae Lee have crafted the ultimate summer streetwear tracksuit collection, showcasing graphics in fresh fun colorways, inspired by Swae Lee’s iconic sporty flair style. The tracksuit drop includes everything from must-have matching sets to mix & match full looks, bold and pastel sweat sets.
Swae Lee’s versatile tracksuit edit sets itself apart from others with a variety of unique graphics and prints, including x-ray-like tie-dye skeletal accents. The collection ranges in style from bold colour block short tracksuits to 90’s throwback funnel neck velour sets. The multi-functional short tracksuit sets are lightweight, breathable and essential for keeping cool during the summer months.
The concept behind the shoot is intentionally very stripped back. With monochrome as the sets’ core theme.
I wanted the product and Swae’s personality to scream and stand out here. Everything on set was purposefully simplified so we could let the product and personality do the talking.

Who is Swae Lee?
Born on June 7, 1993, Lee is only 27, but the singer has already released a studio album and 19 singles, as well as three studio albums as hip hop duo, Rae Sremmurd.
Lee has collaborated with artists too many to mention, which means you’re bound to have heard this Grammy award-nominated artist’s voice at some point. On the other hand, you might recognize Swae Lee because of his sense of style and the stand-out fashion choices that set him leagues apart from his peers. No wonder he is so successful on social media: he has 8.7 million followers on Instagram and over 830 thousand followers on Twitter. In March 2020, he performed a whole concert live over Instagram for his fans.

Swae Lee’s Musical Career
Swae Lee was born Khalif Malikibnshaman Brown in Inglewood, California. When he was still young, Lee’s family relocated to Tupelo, Mississippi, and he was raised in an area associated with high-crime levels. Finding himself homeless, he spent some time squatting in abandoned homes with his brother Aaquil Ibinshaman Brown, otherwise known as Slim Jxmmi. Hardship didn’t stop the brothers from making music, though, and they formed a group called Dem Outta St8 Boyz with Jemiah Middlebrooks, before forming a new partnership. Together, brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi make up the hip hop duo, Rae Sremmurd.
What Does Rae Sremmurd Mean?
Swae Lee and his brother Slim Jxmmi chose to call themselves Rae Sremmurd when they were signed with Mike Will Made It’s label, Ear Drummers Entertainment in 2013. As well as a record producer, Mike Will Made It is a DJ, rapper, singer, and songwriter, and he has produced singles for artists such as Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, and Kendrick Lamar.

Rae Sremmurd’s Albums
Rae Stremmurd released SremmLife in 2015, SremmLife 2 in 2016, and SRMM in 2018. In 2017, their multi-platinum hit, Black Beatles with Gucci Mane, won the Billboard Music Awards Top Rap Collaboration, and Rae Sremmurd was nominated for Top Rap Artist.
Remember the Mannequin Challenge on social media where someone filmed you as you froze in the middle of doing something? The track likely playing in the background was Rae Sremmurd’s Black Beatles.
Lee’s Success as a Solo Artist
As a solo artist, Lee featured on French Montana’s Unforgettable in April 2017. The track reached the Top Three of the Billboard 100, topped the U.S R&B/hip-hop and rap charts, and went multi-platinum across the globe. The following year, he appeared on the soundtrack for Black Panther alongside R&B singer Khalid.
Lee’s debut solo album Swaecation was released on May 4, 2018. Swaecation was part of a triple album set alongside Rae Sremmurd’s third studio album, SRMM, and his brother’s debut studio album, Jxmtro.
The Soundtrack to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse
In 2018, Lee recorded Sunflower with American rapper and singer, songwriter, Post Malone. The track was released as a single from the soundtrack to the film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The funky, dreamy track has been described as heroic, emotional and heartfelt, and a funky, dreamy ballad. It was Lee’s first song as a soloist to top the Billboard Hot 100. Sunflower was one of the longest Top Ten streaks in chart history and received Grammy Award nominations for Record of the Year and Best Pop/Duo Performance.
Collaborations
Swae Lee has collaborated with the likes of Jhene Aiko, XXXTentacion, Ellie Goulding, Anitta, French Montana, Post Malone, Camila Cabello, Travis Scott, Drake, Diplo, Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj, Young Thug, and even Madonna. A lyrical wordsmith and a vocal talent, he wrote the lyrics to Beyonce’s Formation in 2014 and Travis Scott’s Sicko Mode in 2018.
What’s Swae Lee Up to in 2020?
Singles so far this year include Someone Said and Reality Check from his new album, Human Nature. With laid back vocals, Reality Check talks about his success with women, cars, and money. He is certainly enjoying success across the board, from fashion to songwriting and social media to live performance. However, how successful he is when it comes to dating and relationships isn’t really known. Lee has stressed that he likes to conduct his romance behind the scenes, not on camera. Reports suggest that Lee could be single right now, although, in the past, he was involved with the Instagram model, Marliesia Ortiz.
Swae Lee’s Fashion and Sense of Style
Lee’s style is nothing short of eclectic. He shows a penchant for sportswear, but as well as men’s high-street activewear, Lee loves designer brands. And, when it comes to his attire, he chooses glitzy accessories and plenty of silver jewellery, and he isn’t afraid to show off his torso and tattoos. In addition, Lee is prepared to push gender norms to achieve head-turning looks that he absolutely rocks.
Take, for example, the 2020 Grammy Awards. Lee donned a white Peter Dundas trouser and robe jacket suit from the designer’s women’s collection for this event. The gorgeous robe jacket was tied at the waist to reveal his chest. Lee matched the white and silver suit with a sparkling pair of Guiseppe Zanotti collab silver glitter shoes.
Lee’s designers of choice include Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Gucci, Calvin Klein, Burberry, Prada, Balenciaga, and Dolce & Gabanna. Jumpsuits and vibrant colors feature strongly in his fashion choices.
But it’s also clear that Lee loves branded sportswear. He has been photographed wearing Just Do It pants and jackets, and training shoes, including Nike Air Force 1 React, Nike Air Max, and Nike Air Jordan. Lee’s manner of switching between sportswear and avant-garde fashion and wearing it with aplomb, makes him an excellent choice for boohooMAN’s latest tracksuit collaboration.
