It’s officially that time of year where we need buy our old MAN another “world’s best dad mug” and make him a slice of toast and a cup of tea, showing him how much we really appreciate him. I know we all think we have the world’s best dad, but who really is the best dad in the world? Well, here’s a list of our top celebrity dads and why they deserve the title.
David Beckham
The best celebrity dad’s list could not have started with anyone else, he truly is the poster boy for celeb dads. From full time professional footballer to full time dad, David Beckham really is a legendary dad. Although probably one of the wealthiest ex footballers, Beckham makes sure he keeps his kids feet firmly on the ground. He made poor Brooklyn get a job as a barista in a coffee shop, when he was 15. Now he’s waved him off to university in America. You can’t say fairer than that. Then in another legendary dad step, he got all four of his kids names tattooed on him. All hail the greatest celebrity dad, David Beckham.
Ryan Reynolds
One word, Twitter. Ryan Reynolds is hands down, the best dad on Twitter. He is known for being Deadpool, trolling his wife and tweeting about his daily life as a father. One of his classic tweets reads “On our 6am walk, my daughter asked where the moon goes each morning. I let her know it’s in heaven, visiting daddy’s freedom.” Obviously tongue in cheek, he really loves making sure everyone knows how much his kids has changed life. Come on Ryan, it can’t be that bad, with Blake Lively as a wife and that Hollywood film career, you really are smashing it.
Will Smith
If you don’t agree with us that Will Smith is one of the coolest celebrity dads, then you’re wrong. Will Smith, father to Trey, Jaden and Willow has far too many reasons why he is the best dad in Hollywood. He’s been quoted saying “I feel that the greatest gift that I can give my children is the freedom to be who they are” and he certainly isn’t afraid of letting his children take the reins of their own life, which certainly is a refreshing quality in a father. That being said, he is possibly also one of the funniest dads in showbiz, his parody of Jaden’s music video is hilarious, although possibly slightly embarrassing for his younger son. Never change Will Smith, never change.
Brad Pitt
Brad certainly has his hands full. Managing a Hollywood film career and being a dad to six is something which we can only admire. Brad choses to keep his life as father away from the lime light. Although in an interview he said “I care about them more than I care about myself, which I think is the definition of love” and if this isn’t a reason why Brad pit is one of the best dads in Hollywood, then we don’t know what is.
Tom Fletcher
Tom’s Instagram is the main reason he is featuring on our favourite celebrity dads list. He’s certainly challenging Ryan Reynolds for the funniest celebrity dad on social media. From documenting his wife’s pregnancy with original songs to confusing his new born son with a plastic doll, he really is one of the funniest celebrity dads. His frank and honest depiction of fatherhood is admirable, probably one of the reasons he was made ‘celebrity dad of the year’ in 2016. It’s clear from his Instagram that he is passing his passion for music to his children, maybe McFly 2.0 is closer than we think…
