Today is International Men’s Day, so we’d thought we’d take a look at those inspirational characters who’ve made their mark on 2017.

  1. Liam Gallagher

With a sell-out tour, headlining festivals and top quality twitter bants, Liam is right up there on our list of people we’d like a beer with. A true rock and roll star! The born and bred Mancunian showed his true colours when he made a surprise appearance at the One Love Manchester concert back in June, to play some iconic Oasis tracks in order to tribute to all those who lost their lives at the terrible event that happened at the MEN arena. 2. Conor McGregor

2. Conor Mcgregor

Love him or hate him, the MMA champion was always going to make the list. He’s a one of a kind fighter competing at featherweight, lightweight and welterweight, and is one of three UFC fighters in history to hold two titles in different weight classes. This year, the notorious Irishman made his professional boxing debut by taking on non other than 49-0, now 50-0, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. He may have lost his 10 round battle with no doubt one of the best boxers in history, but his incredible effort was admired by sports fans around the world.

3. Usain Bolt

The eight-time Olympic gold medalist decided it was time to hang up his spikes, after dominating the sport like no other in history. Although Bolt could only manage bronze in the men’s 100m, before picking up an injury the 4x100m relay in this yea’s World Championships in London, the outgoing Jamaican retired a legend.

4. Hugh Hefner

Unfortunately, 2017 took one of the most iconic and inspirational men ever to grace this plant, Hugh Hefner. The original player and creator of Playboy Magazine, which was founded way back in 1953, sadly lost his life this year. His creation changed the game in men’s entertainment and lifestyle magazines, and showed the world how to party at this famous mansion. RIP to a legend!

5. Post Malone

One of the quirkiest characters in the rap game right now, Post Malone is continuing to smash the music scene after releasing his debut album Stoney in December 2016. After White Iverson gained some serious attention and admiration from other artists, Malone has since then worked with the likes of Justin Bieber, Kehlani, Quavo, 2 Chainz and has recently teamed up with 21 Savage to release number 1 track Rockstar. The American rapper is keeping fans in suspense with the drop of his second album, Beerbongs & Bentleys.

6. Stranger Things Cast

The long awaited Stranger Things Season 2 was released this Halloween and if you don’t know about it, then what planet are you living on? With the incredible acting talent at such a young age, the future stars deserve all the recognition they receive, plus Stranger Things is amazing!
