Zlatan Ibrahimovic rescues Manchester United’s unbeaten record with a penalty in the 90+4th minute; what football fans are now calling ‘José time’. José Mourinho’s squad haven’t lost a game since their 4-0 thrashing at Stamford Bridge back in October, and now have the longest undefeated run in Europe’s top five leagues.

Their status may be impressive but their performance last night was nothing to shout about. With 18 efforts on goal, United were heading towards defeat before visiting defender Ashley Williams handled the ball on the line, to which he received a red card, allowing Manchester United to finally find the back of the net.

It was frustrating game to watch for United Fans. After going 0-1 down, Everton’s centre back Jagielka bagged himself an early goal, and an anxious Old Trafford witnessed two efforts hitting the woodwork, a disallowed goal and plenty of missed chances from Pogba, Mata and Rashford.

José Mourinho has received criticism about his team’s ability to score, especially after the 0-0 draw against West Brom at the weekend and he’ll have a lot of explaining to do after last night’s disjointed performance. It’s not like they aren’t creating the chances; Manchester United have had 499 shots on goal so far this season (second highest behind Tottenham’s 500). But, have scored less than the top 7 teams in the table and their shot conversion rates matches those teams in the bottom half of the league.

Everton will also be kicking themselves as a side looking to redeem themselves after their 3-1 defeat against Premier League rivals Liverpool on Saturday.

The boohooMAN of the match goes to Everton goal scorer, Jagielka. He gave his team the early lead a put in a good shift at the back.

There is more Premier League action tonight as Tottenham look to close the gap on leaders Chelsea, who face a tough game against 4th place Manchester City, a side wanting to reclaim their 3rd place spot. The games tonight are:

Arsenal vs West Ham

Hull vs Middlesbrough

Southampton vs Crystal Palace

Swansea vs Tottenham

Chelsea vs Man City

Liverpool vs Bournemouth
