Juventus get a great head start in their mission to Champions League victory, carrying a comfortable 3-0 lead into the second leg at the Nou Camp on Wednesday, 19th April.
The Italian Series A leaders looked a threatening side last night with plenty of pressure and quick counter attacks. The Argentine striker, Paulo Dybala put two away in the first half and a header from a set piece by Giorgio Chiellini managed to secure their victory.
It’s no surprise that Juventus put on a great performance at ‘The Stadium’ as their home form is impeccable. Juve have won their past 32 league home games and if their Champions League stats are anything to go by, having gone 441 minutes without conceding, their trip to Spain may not be as difficult as football fans think.
However, we all know that weird and wonderful things can happen at the home of Barcelona FC. Here is where Barcelona managed to pull off one of the most remarkable comebacks in football’s history, beating PSG 6-1 after a 4-0 defeat away, taking them through to the next stages of the Champions League. But can they do it again? It seems Barcelona are making a habit of trailing in the second leg having now failed to score in two consecutive away fixtures in the cup, PSG and now Juventus. One thing is for sure, it’s definitely going to be an action packed game that promises plenty of goals.
There is more Champions League action tonight; Borussia Dortmund’s quarter-final with Monaco will be played tonight after Dortmund team bus was damaged by an explosion, Atletico Madrid face Premier League champions Leicester and the game everyone will be watching, the current Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich take on La Liga leaders Real Madrid.
