This drop marks the 7th tracksuit collection for boohooMAN, and follows multiple global household names across rap, hip hop, afrobeats and more, including the likes of Swae Lee, Lil Mosey, Mr Eazi and more.

Tyla is the embodiment of effortless street style. He has always made an appearance across mood boards for alternate collections since coming onto the scene, so to be able to create this collection for him was an absolute pleasure.

Popping graphics, vibrant colorways and clashing prints are complemented by relaxed silhouettes, and favorable, classic tracksuit styles. Shot in the Mojave Desert in California, the concept combines reality and fantasy by combining the baron landscape and earthy terrain with a surreal, multi-dimensional creative.

We wanted to keep the art at the centre of the concept. The performance element that features in the shoot tied every juxtaposition together so nicely. It was a pure delight working with such a humble star.

I’ve been a fan of what boohooMAN have been doing for some time now, their clothes are sick. Working with the team there has been such a great experience – so effortless. They just get it! and the range is fire!

Who is Tyla Yaweh?

Born Tyler Jamal Brown, Tyla Yaweh is a rapper, singer, and songwriter who’s currently signed with Epic Records and London Entertainment.

How old is Tyla Yaweh?

Yaweh was born on May 31, 1995, which makes him 25 years of age today.

Where is Tyla Yaweh from?

Yaweh was born in Orlando, Florida. While there, he worked at Dunkin’ Donuts to support himself.

Sometime later, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he was said to have been living out of his car until he was discovered by Post Malone.

Tyla Yaweh’s Music Career

Tyla Yaweh and Post Malone go way back. In fact, Posty, as Yaweh fondly calls him, is credited for “discovering” this rapper.

According to Yaweh, he opened for Posty three times way back in 2013 in Orlando, Florida. During that time, Post Malone could already see Yaweh’s potential. Unfortunately, Yaweh had some personal issues to deal with back then, so he couldn’t sign with anybody.

Yaweh later moved to LA, where he, of course, reconnected with Post Malone and eventually signed with Dre London, who also manages Posty.

“Drugs and Pain,” Tyla Yaweh’s first single, was finally released on November 22, 2017. It was quickly followed by three more singles: “Wildlife,” “Gemini,” and “Goals,” all of which were successful by music streaming standards, having been streamed millions of times.

His debut mixtape Heart Full of Rage came out in February 2019. In January 2020, his song remix of “High Right Now” was released. This song was a collaborative project between Tyla Yaweh and Wiz Khalifa, and also featured Post Malone, Billie Joe Armstrong, and Big Sean.

Tyla Yaweh’s been around a lot – performing at festivals and touring Australia and Europe. During fall 2018 and winter 2020, Yaweh toured with Post Malone and Swae Lee on the Runaway Tour. His first-ever Hot 100 entry came with the release of his single “Tommy Lee” in mid-2020, which also featured Post Malone.

Just last December 2020, he released his newest single, “All the Smoke“, which also features Gunna and Wiz Khalifa.

His second album is currently in the works.

Tyla Yaweh’s Fashion Style

Tyla Yaweh’s distinctive fashion style is not lost on anyone. In fact, he was once asked about his fashion influences, to which he replied that he has his “Hugh Hefner recipe.”

He says he loves dressing fashionably and that it makes him feel good. He’s a great believer in loving whatever you wear and expressing yourself through clothes. And boohooMAN couldn’t agree more.
