Lil Yachty is taking the music scene by storm. In the space of a year, the rapper released three albums, an EP and linked up with names such as Young Thug, Rich the Kid and featured on Big Baby D.R.A.M’s track Broccoli, the track that really put Lil Yachty on the map and is one we have on repeat here at boohooMAN HQ. Lil Yachty brings a new sound to the rap game, describing his style of music as “bubble gum trap’, and he’s back with his first album of 2017.
The album is the perfect gateway into Yachty’s mind. It’s a mixture of highs and lows, which makes sense with the title of the album, “Teenage Emotions”. His album cover depicts this with an image of youngsters including Yachty, differentiating from gender, race, size and style, almost giving us a silent message that this album isn’t just about him but what so many teenage lives are like.
